Burnstown Gallery to close
a bittersweet decision...

Well known and loved destination for fine craft and art Bittersweet Gallery will close its doors June 30.

The gallery reopens May 1 after a winter break and will offer patrons discounts on much of the gallery inventory until closing.

Bittersweet Gallery owner Cheryl Babineau  has proudly represented over 50 Canadian artists and craftspeople for almost 25 years and is a destination  for fine craft and the ceramic works of her husband Richard Gill who settled here over 50 years ago making his living as a potter and sculptor.

Cheryl and Richard want to thank its patrons and supporters with a fond farewell and open house event this June 22.

The event will include continued discounts on much of the gallery inventory.
Visitors will enjoy live music and light refreshments in the garden from 1 - 5.

It's truly a bittersweet decision for the couple as they feel the need to downsize and will miss the daily interaction with its loyal patrons and welcoming newcomers, however they do plan to remain in their home just across the street and create a new studio where Richard Gill will continue to work in clay, specializing in accepting custom work.

The property  will be offered for sale with or without the gallery business  and sits on 1.4 acres overlooking the Madawaska River  in the picturesque village of Burnstown consisting of retail /studio and living space,  present ing a prosperous opportunity  for development with a loyal customer base and expanding marketplace to a potential buyer who seeks a rewarding lifestyle in an idyllic village setting less than one hour from the nation's capital.
